Located in beautiful Liberty Lake, Washington, Intelligent Balance Spinal Care specializes in postural corrections and upper cervical care for patients suffering from neck pain, mid and lower back pain, spinal injury or other chronic health conditions.
Because of the specialization of our care, we draw patients from all around the Spokane / Coeur d’Alene area as well as the Tri-Cities and even into other parts of Idaho and western Montana.
We are well known in the community, and we have many community partnerships, so our patients can get the help that they need to meet their goals.
Dr. Kim White bought the practice in 2014. She’s been passionate about furthering the love and enthusiasm that Dr. Ryan Yates (the previous owner) spread about upper cervical care in the Spokane area. She looks forward to meeting you to see how this type of chiropractic care could change your life!

At Intelligent Balance Spinal Care we offer free consultations
either in person or via phone.
We’ll get a brief background of your health and will talk to you about whether our services could be a good fit for you.
Dr. Kim White
Dr. White came to Intelligent Balance Spinal Care in 2014 after practicing for two years in Issaquah, WA, just outside of Seattle. She graduated in 2012 from Cleveland Chiropractic College and spent her last semester in Calgary working in a large Upper Cervical (NUCCA) practice.
Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. White graduated with a chemical engineering degree from the University of Colorado, where she worked for a company called United Launch Alliance. There, she worked on the ordnance (explosive) systems for the Atlas Rockets. The Atlas line of rockets originally launched John Glenn into orbit in 1962 to be the first American to orbit the Earth. The Atlas rockets currently launch military and commercial satellites.
Many people ask what led Dr. White to chiropractic when she was in an engineering career, but it was as simple as wanting to help people lead a healthier life. She views it as “engineering the body,” holistically, rather than engineering “things.” Her schooling and technique studies have moved her around quite a bit – she lived in Southern California and Kansas City for chiropractic school and then Calgary, Spokane, and Seattle for additional externships and technique mentoring.
Dr. White loves to help guide her patients along their health journey, and is happy to have discussions about what other types of complementary care and lifestyle changes may be helpful or necessary. She realizes that western medicine has its place, but is often much better at saving lives than actually keeping people healthy and well. She loves seeing children (even they can benefit from chiropractic care!) and those who are looking for something different than traditional chiropractic.
Dr. White has a son, Levon, who was born in 2017, a daughter, Etta, who was born in 2018, and another son, Ryland, who was born in 2020. In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, snowboarding, and traveling. Her husband, Mike, is a teacher and baseball coach.
Dr. Larry Callaway
Dr. Lawrence Callaway DC graduated Summa Cum Laude, with highest honors, from Life Chiropractic College West, earning him the Valedictorian award. In his pursuit of chiropractic excellence he has acquired nearly 300 additional hours of post-graduate training in neurology and Upper Cervical Chiropractic. Dr. Callaway completed his undergraduate studies at Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington. He was also the head student athletic trainer for the men’s basketball team.
Dr. Callaway aspires to help his patients understand the unique relationship among chiropractic, optimum body function and peak performance. Dr. Callaway defines performance as being able to do the things in life you want and need to do (pick up children, swing a golf club, run a marathon, work, etc). Dr. Callaway works with all ages of patients from less than 2 minutes old to 97 years, but his passion is helping kids and teens learn early that what we do now affects us now and later.
Dr. Callaway has been certified by the Titleist Performance Institute as a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor, by the National Strength and Conditioning Associates as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and by the National Athletic Trainers Associations Board of Certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer.
